How can family life change as a result of fleeing to Germany? In his bachelor's thesis, Ahmad Sabsabe explores this question by conducting a guided interview with a Syrian mother who has been living in Germany since 2016. The book focuses on the origin- and (post-)migration-related challenges that families experience in the new social context. It also sheds light on the resources that they bring with them and that develop as a result of their experiences. Through his personal perspective as a refugee for political reasons in 2015, the author offers a viewpoint that integrates the situated knowledge of the researcher and at the same time critically reflects on it.
Ahmad Usamah Sabsabe , Bachelorabsolvent Katholische Hochschule Nordrhein-Westfalen
